Hip Chick Alert Puts the spotlight on The Seventh Annual Summit will be the most exciting yet. I was there last night for the opening night of the Summit- it was inspiring!  Really opened my eyes- the challenges that women around the world have in their day to day lives- I feel truly blessed but today more aware of what’s going on around the world-

Last night amazing – I am at work today and I am unable to join all three days?  I will be am watching it live stream at womenintheworld.com

My eyes are opened -my heart heavy- and I have hope for a better future for women everywhere.

And you should too- You will meet women waging peace against AFRICAN JIHAD.  Women speaking TRUTH TO POWER in authoritarian TURKEY.Women standing up to MISOGYNY in India, Iran and the United States of America.

Here is a clip from last year-

You will hear and learn from Meryl Streep, Megyn Kelly, Kerry Washington, Christine Lagarde, Mindy Kaling, Laura Bush, Cecile Richards, Indra Nooyi, Lynsey Addario and the First Lady of Afghanistan Rula Ghani.

This is fantastic as well from last year-

Plus one of America’s amazing female executives, Dr. Martine Rothblatt, University of Cambridge historian and feminist Mary Beard OBE, Afghan rapper Sonita Alizadeh, fearless Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme Ertharin Cousin, top Hollywood entertainment lawyer Nina Shaw, fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg, singer-songwriter Dayme Arocena and so many more of these remarkable Sheroes and the men who champion them!

Wooo hooo – Hip ladies – it’s worth viewing it!

Peace Perez

Trump is planning to "renovate" the Kennedy Center Trump is planning to "renovate" the Kennedy Center. Which means, in his inimitable showing of his consistant lack of good taste, destroying the wonderful Edward Durell Stone designs, which are exemplary examples of mid-century design. I realize in light of everything else he's already destroyed and is wreaking havoc of our democracy, this may not seem like such an important issue, but it is indicative of how this Trump "a man called Sue" Because he likes to sue people left and right. is overstepping all the checks and balances which were in place, just to feed his indefatigable ego, amass absolute power and put his stamp on other's achievements. This latest plan is simply his childish revenge in response to the many artists refusing to perform in the newly renamed venue , Renee Fleming the national Opera. So many have denied and revoked playing there after Trump placed his name above Kennedy's name. Most artists think it's distasteful but he's done and refused to play there and good for them. This man should not do this To such iconic. Build. #midcenteryarchitecture #edwarddurellstone #sad #lostart #mentalmidget

Hôtel Chopin is a small, historic hotel located in Hôtel Chopin is a small, historic hotel located inside Passage Jouffroy, a covered shopping passage in Paris built in 1846. When the hotel first opened that same year, it was called Hôtel des Familles. It wasn’t until 1970 that it got the name Hôtel Chopin, in honor of the famous composer Frédéric Chopin. He used to walk through the area on his way to the nearby Pleyel piano showroom.

Passage Jouffroy is known for its beautiful glass roof, old shops, and peaceful atmosphere. It was one of the first passages in Paris made of metal and glass and quickly became a popular spot for shopping and strolling.

Hôtel Chopin has kept its charm for more than 175 years. Its wooden front is protected as a historic monument, and the hotel’s door has reportedly never been locked since it opened. Inside, the style is simple and classic, with a piano, a bust of Chopin, and cozy rooms looking over the rooftops of Paris.

Today, it’s one of the oldest still-running hotels in the city. Staying there feels like stepping into a quiet corner of old Paris, right in the heart of the busy 9th district

Today marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Never Forget.

“Never shall I forget that night, the first night in camp, that turned my life into one long night seven times sealed.
Never shall I forget that smoke.
Never shall I forget the small faces of the children whose bodies I saw transformed into smoke under a silent sky.
Never shall I forget those flames that consumed my faith forever.
Never shall I forget the nocturnal silence that deprived me for all eternity of the desire to live.
Never shall I forget those moments that murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to ashes.
Never shall I forget those things, even were I condemned to live as long as God Himself.
Never.”
-Elie Wiesel
